Women & Children’s Shelter

Homelessness can arise from a combination of factors: poverty, victimization, and early physical and sexual abuse, as well as substance abuse and mental illness. These circumstances create a multitude of challenges and form a devastating cycle that often traps women in a state of instability and uncertainty.

At our center, we are devoted to creating a warm and inclusive environment centered around Christ. We strive to offer stability and well-being to women, rejecting the traditional institutional approach. Our compassionate engagement emphasizes personal development and recovery, standing firmly against the use of drugs and alcohol. Our primary objective is three-fold:

  • Equip women with the necessary skills and self-assurance to advocate for themselves.
  • Embrace women with empowerment through self-help, personal growth, and support.
  • Ensure women can secure a stable income, regain independence and dignity.

When a woman arrives, she can go through the intake process either by appointment or as a walk-in. The average stay is two weeks, and oftentimes there is a waitlist. We offer flexible intake appointment hours to accommodate different schedules.
