How Much Time Do I Need to Volunteer?
Volunteering can be an enriching and rewarding experience whether it’s for a couple of hours a week or a few days per month. We do our best to connect you with volunteer opportunities that fit your lifestyle while meeting our needs. Remember, every hour spent volunteering makes a significant difference.
What Qualifications or Skills Do I Need to Have?
We welcome individuals from all backgrounds. Whether you bring a perfect match to our needs or introduce a new skill, every contribution is valuable. No previous volunteer experience required, just a heart to serve.
How Old Do I Have to be to Volunteer?
Volunteering gives back, and you’ll also gain new skills and valuable experience. We welcome volunteers of all ages although certain roles may have age requirements and or require adult supervision. Age aside, there’s likely a volunteer opportunity for you.
Do You Have Volunteer Opportunities for Groups?
Whether as an individual or as part of a group, you’ll make a positive impact, foster teamwork and build new relationships! Opportunities range from fundraising events, administrative help, workday clean and repair projects to community outreach and more. When you come together for a cause, the potential for change is immense.
Will I Receive Training?
As part of the onboarding process, you will receive training to equip you to serve effectively. The level of training depends on the role. With a focus on compassion, service and community, we prepare you to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we are privileged to serve.
Do You Have a Dress Code for Volunteering?
As a volunteer, you represent the values and ethics we uphold. Volunteers dress in a manner reflecting modesty, respect and professionalism. Clothing should be clean, presentable and appropriate for the volunteer role. Avoid revealing attire, offensive graphics or text and consider cultural differences. By representing yourself and us in this manner, you can set the tone for positive interactions with our clients and community.
Can I Get Service Hours for My Volunteer Hours?
Serving others is a tremendous reward and can provide service hour credits for your
school program, civic engagement or community service requirements. We track and
validate your volunteer hours and can provide official documentation upon request. Your
time and efforts are recognized and acknowledged, potentially opening doors for
scholarships, job opportunities and references.
